19 discussion list
E-coman arrangement for sending e-mail messages to a number of people that also allows recipients to respond and everyone else on the list to see these responses. A discussion list is similar to a distribution list except that it is based on a twoway model. Discussion lists can be moderated or unmoderated. In a moderated list, all mail is screened by an intermediary, typically the individual or organization that set up the list. Unmoderated lists involve no editorial process, so any subscriber can contribute anything he or she wants to the e-mail discussion. Unlike newsgroups, discussion lists do not provide a consolidated record of responses. -
